Donna,

Hensley would be WAY overkill unless you are towing with a Mini-Cooper
or Schwinn.  ;^)>   The trick is to see when the trailer is not
straight in your mirror.  Pull straght across a parking area for a
couple of rig lengths to make sure the trailer is in good alignment
with the tow vehicle.  Note where the trailer appears in each mirror.
 (A sharpie mark on the glass could help remember this point until you
are used to towing.)  If the trailer goes off course PUSH the BOTTOM
of the steering wheel in the direction you want the trailer to go.  If
you are trying to back into a space, arrange things so your path is to
the left, where you can see what the trailer wheel is going.

Don't forget that once the trailer is in a turn, you have to cut the
prime mover wheels back past stright to have the vehicle "follow the
trailer".  (Kind of like centering the stick once you have the
airplane in a bank. <G>)

The secret is always to watch which way the trailer is trying to go,
and if that's not what you want push the rear end of the trailer by
pushing the bottom of the steering wheel.

I'm not sure if that makes sense in text, but if you go to an empty
schoolyard and practice you'll have it nailed down "toot sweet".
