Re: [A/S] Axle life
Andy,
I look forward to the report, but will state for the record that UCF America
manufacturer of Flexiride axles
is anything but a low quality corner cutting company
http://www.ucfamerica.com/ltduty.html and I know from decades of personal
experience as both a vendor and customer of Southwest Wheel in Dallas that
they are a first class operation too. It should not go unnoticed that you
have a personal economic interest in this discussion as your website proudly
proclaims you "Exclusive national distributor" of Henschen axles. I remain
quite interested if anyone has tried Flexiride as I am giving it serious
consideration as a replacement for the old leaf spring system in my '61
Avion Tourist restoration. I would also point out that if the Airstream
original equipment was so great why are so many axles being replaced? I hear
almost no problems coming out of the Avion website and they began using a
completely different rubber spring system in the late 60's from Mor-Ryde who
are still around today.
