I have a '77 31' Excella 500 and it does not have a drain plug. I have to
run the water through the pump and into the greywater tank. I let it run
for short periods of time, let it cool off and then do it again. It sure
was an oversight on Airstream's part and the main reason I no longer
maintain water in the freshwater tank. I carry several 2.5 gal. containers
and a 5 gal. container for drinking water and PTA baths should I not have
access to a water source.
