whole different trailer from those made after the late 60s.

frames are tissue paper today compared to the 50s and earlier, 
ditto on the tow vehicles.  It was not uncommon back then to have a Hollywood or
California set of wheels under the tongue which was articulated so that as the
trailer was pulled thru corners, the wheels tracked with the car.
The cars had 6 feet or longer overhangs behind the differential which were
sprung with LOOOONG leafs.  that is why they needed the pair of wheels/tires
under the gas tanks on thw trailer tongue to help support all that weight.

Then they discovered torsion bars to transfer weight from the tongue to the rear
axle (some to auto's front?) and to the trailer axles.  that did away with the
tricky Hollywood wheel set while lifting the rear end.

also, the interior furniture was made of Solids or plywood, well glued and
screwed together so as to take the constant vibration and chughole shocks.
