Where did you get the idea to load it with chlorine?  You simply load it with 
water.... then the filter filters out bad tastes.... not only from the tank, 
but also the hose connected to the city water inlet.

You can put a little Clorox in the fresh tank with lots of water to clean 
it.... but you drain that back out.

You don't drink the Chlorox.
