I got my first dually two years ago, concerned that it might not be such a 
good idea, but it has worked out well. It actually tows MUCH better than my 
previous truck - tows like it is on "rails".  Maybe the extra sidewalls 
provide "stiffness" of some kind.

My next truck will be a dually also. I haven't found any disadvantages yet, 
except for the slightly increased truck width, which requires more parking 
room. But it is longer (crewcab plus full size bed), so parking is a 
problem anyway.
