Re: [A/S] Re:[AS]Re: New Tires
Here's the Goodyear link for inflation data.

When I started this tread about new Goodyear tires I had assumed I would
keep the old steel rims. Now I have decided why put new good-looking tires
on the old steel rims when I have always wanted the aluminum wheels. So I
have been checking into getting the Alcoa aluminum rims. Airstream tells me
they use a special wheel from Alcoa 15 x 6, 5.5 centers 6 lugs. This wheel
is available from Airstream dealers. I don't know the cost yet, but I have 2
dealers looking in to this. Also I checked with Southwest wheel who is an
Alcoa distributor and according to them they can get the comparable
Airstream wheel but the rim is a little wider. 15 x 7, 5.5 centers 6 lugs.
Their price is $135 per wheel. I have a feeling that the wheels from an
Airstream dealer will be shy high.
I am wondering if the wheel from Southwest wheel would cause a problem with
a 1" wider rim. According to the Goodyear Marathon specs both the 6 and 7
inch rim widths are approved. Any thoughts
