I have never seen a product that will completly remove silicone from wood it 
is imbeded in the pores There is a product called sili-check there are 
probably other brands as well a drop or 2 in a qt of finish will prevent fish eying. 
also all woods darken some what with age and exposier to sunlight.Unless you 
are a proffesional I would stick ro polyuatherine varnishs the conversion 
varnishs are wonderful products but are not intender for the nome owner. My 
openion.But what do I know !!!! I have openions on every thing and an expert on 
nothing!!!!!!
