When I bout the Stlver Abaltross That had set empty for a verey long time I 
dumped a gallon of clorox in the fresh water tank filled it put an air hose 
downthe inlet and let it bubble for a while than openef all fawcets let it run a 
while dut them off and let it set over nighe and than pumped out the tank what 
came out lookeg like the discharge from the black water tank.I pumped out the 
tank and refilled and pumped out a couple of times until the smell went away. 
I left off heat to waterheater and remoued all filters.No damage to pump or 
water htr.
clorox will destroy a charcole filter.
I keep the freshwater tank filled when not in use and fefore a trip empty it 
and refill with fresh water.Works for me
