hi dick, jim and others
the eagle nanowax is a nice product since it fills defects so nicely. it is
however not known to last very long...on the order of 4-6 weeks depending on
washing and weather. many users report this short life and i tried it last
year...only lasted one month for me too.
a poly sealant will cost a little more but really will last 6 months or more. i
use meguires pro line poly sealant but several other makers do poly sealants that
should give the same durability on the 1999 and later alcoa applied skin coatings,
which if damaged can only have the coating restored by replacing the skin section.
to date there is no dealer or factory applied replacement clearcoat.
cheers
