[A/S] Dead storage compartment light.

1979 little chrome light in the storage compartment under the bed.  
It's just inside the hatch.  Found out yesterday that it doesn't work 
any more.

The bulb has been replaced with a good one and there is power to the 
light.  It has something to do with the fixture not making contact with 
the bulb any more when the lever style switch is flipped.  I didn't get 
a flashlight and mirror to take a better look at it since I was packing 
up for a trip.

Is this light just a piece of junk that I should replace with a cheap 
plastic piece of junk that I can pick up at an RV parts dealer for 
$5.00, or is it worth trying to repair?  

It's in the compartment so I don't care if it's the OEM fixture in 
there, although I'll probably save the old one for the next owner of my 
trailer, whenever the time comes to sell.
