Replace the floor Or just clean off the old adhesive?

I grew really tired of the dingy linoleum and worn carpeting in my Argosy.
I decided to take it out and put in Legato carpet and a hard surface tile in
the bath and kitchen. I am taking off old adhesive in the kitchen now,
pulling nails, only some decent carpet is left in the living room area..
I may leave Florida .
I am sealing, painting then painting with Krylon (all acrylic)
What do you think a potential buyer of a '79 Argosy would prefer....new
Legato carpet, my choice to go with palm and fern patterns? Or to put in their
own choice of floor covering on a clean surface.
