[A/S] Scary stuff

I just saw an article on truck frames.  They cut the frames of the 
big three as well as toyota tundra and one other - I think Nissan.  
There is a very very large difference between the frames that are 
under our trucks boys and girls, and the toyota was downright 
scary.  The best that I could see in line from best for beefy was 1) 
Ford  2) Dodge  3) GM  4) Nissan or Mazda (the fifth one in the test 
anyway) and 5) Toyota.  The Toyota just had no beef in the frame at 
all, with no return curf.  The Ford and Dodge are complete boxed in 
frames, the GM is a heavy 'C' the (other) is a lighter 'C' and the 
Toyota is very very light not fully formed 'C'.  I don't know what 
engineers would determine is adequate for a full size truck frame 
for hauling and towing, but I do know that I want a Ford or Dodge 
frame under anything I use as a tow vehicle.  I almost bought a 
Silverado last year.  I think God was lookin down favourably that 
day.  Now the kicker so that anybody out there can pick this to 
pieces.  The article was by Ford, and so must be slanted and biased 
and false.  All I wish to pass on, is that each and every one of my 
friends here on this list, when going to purchase a truck, wear your 
old clothes and get down and under the truck you are looking at and 
examine the frame.  If you then think it looks strong and solid - by 
all means buy the truck of your choice.  Just, please, please be 
informed, they are not all equal.
