Hi, Hunter:

         The fresh water tank empty gives you a bit more than 400 lb.  I 
was surprised to learn last year at Saratoga that my 28' Excella weighed in 
at 8250#, 50# over the GVWR.  I removed some of the junk that we carry 
around, and initially emptied the water tank, to be sure I was legal.  I 
still carry a full water tank most times, but the other stuff I removed 
will keep me below the GVWR.  MY trailer has a payload (including propane 
and water) of 2100#, and I would never have guessed that I was that 
loaded.  Live and learn.
