The reason we have double twins is because when it rains, the trailer leaks
on my Wife's bed & I stay dry... :-)

But seriously, in small cramped spaces, such as older Airstream trailers,
the twin beds seem to work better. No one has to climb over the other to get
out of the bed, etc. You also have more usable storage area under two twins
than you do under one permanent double.

Also, IMHO, the older trailers stem from an age where once a couple reached
a "certain age", they moved into twin beds. That carried over into the
trailers they bought.
