it's because people like to come 
together and celebrate life and share their talents with others. 
Eliminate everything that don't float your boat, everyone else 
eliminate those things that don't work for them and you 
sit...sit...sit, that's fine sometimes but it gets old. I may be off 
base here, but I've seen this all before. One of the limited rewards

You seem to have put into words very well what are probably the reasons
for those traditions and activities.  Although owning an Airstream is
what brings us together, we all have varied preferences and abilities.
And most of us wouldn't attend a rally where there were no activities
available.  Personally, we go to the events and activities we enjoy, and
stay away from the others that don't interest us.
