Can you imagine the number of miles put on over the road trucks per year?  
Many fleets have gone to synthetics and oil analysis to cut cost of oil 
changes and the filters that go with them.  As long as the synthetic oil 
meets standards at 25,000 or even 50,000 miles then why change all that oil. 
  Trucking companies have done this for years and do not experience engine 
failures left and right.
