Rick and all,
I have the Verizon National Access Plan. It costs
$79.00 per month *over and above* your regular plan.
It is way faster than dial-up. In many cities you can
actually get high speed internet. This is using the
cell phone, as a modem, to connect to the internet,
through a laptop. Verizon becomes your ISP.
The point of my message is: you can then take the
$79.00 part of the plan off your bill, with out
penalty, when you don't need it. So during the winter
I have it taken off and put back on in the summer when
I'm camping. So far it works great, but expensive...
Hunter, is this what you have, or are you connecting
at 14.4 kbps?
Randy
