hello,
have been driving a diesel for 3 years now and have never had a 
problem. all the truck stops on the interstates have diesel and most 
if not all have diesel on the island where cars and rv's fill up. 

as a rule i stop at flying j, pilot, travel america travel centers 
and i think you will find that the diesel fuel at these places is 
even cheaper than in town somewhere.

i do carry a 5 gallon yello jerry can in the back of my truck just in 
case i do run low. 

can only speak for the dodge cummins diesel but most diesels are 
probably the same, do not run out of fuel as you will then have to 
prim the lift pump/fuel pump.

when not traveling and just running around town i know where all the 
stations are that sell diesel and which is generally cheaper.
