Any RV or trailer (boat trailer for example) service facility should be able
to wash out the old grease and repack the bearings. For that matter, any
competent auto mechanic should be able to do the job too. Trailer wheel
bearing assemblies are essentially the same as non driven wheels on an
automobile (front wheels on a rear wheel drive car or vice versa).

To do a proper job, you should replace the grease seals at the same time.
Many Airstream dealers (who advertise in the Blue Beret) will ship the seals
to you if you call them and give them a credit card.

I personally have repacked my own wheel bearings, and got the bearing seals
from Rod Beltran at C & G Trailer Service in Belflower, CA.  C & G is an
Airstream authorized service facility and Rod is a very knowledgable and
honest businessman. They have been in business for over 30 years. If you
call Rod, I'm sure he is familiar with the wheel bearing problem and will
give you good advice. You might ask him what variety (brand and type) of
