F250SD '04 or F350SD 05?

mission, pull a 31' AS thru jellystone park 
come in thru the NE-Cody entrance, go out the south-Teton entrance.
or turn around in Teton and do it in reverse....

now, I am wanting to trade my 2 yr old E350 SD 7.3 with 18K miles in on a short
bed, crew cab, Fn50 SD 2004 or 2005.
Both are new and on the dealer's lot.

being economical about this, where would my $$ best be invested??

the F350 2004 or the F350 2005?

OR would a same-setup F250 SD, yada do the job of pulling that trailer
(guestimate weight at 8500#s)? I suppose I get bigger brakes? on the 350?
same engine otherwise, and tranny, etc... ??

isfai am concerned, I am going into the dealer and see what kind of deal he will
give me on trade in but would like to know the minimal truck I need to steam up
the grades without breaking a sweat and handle a steep downgrade with the same
aplomb. doing all this with the minimal additional cash.

I have been to the FordTruck site and am aware of incentives, 0% and like that.

However, I do not really see all that improvement between the 04 adn the 05,
even though that 325hp and 570 ftlbs is awesome on the 05 plus the improved
brakes, the trailer towing thingy, etc. perhaps there are less bugs in the 05
engines than in the 04?

thanks for any input. that Sovereign weighs considerable even with minimal
fluids after I load it with rifles, ammo components, etc for competition tour.

oh, isfaik, the Pullrite will go from the E350 to the 04 Fn50. do not know
about all the chassis changes on the 05 BEAST.
