If they are young and healthy and you expect to use them for long enough
after restoring them, they might be worth the hassle of taking them home
and doing the proper maintenance.
OTOH, if you don't already have the trickle charger and a good safe place
to keep them for the next year, maybe not. A new set of two deep-cycles
presently cost around $100 at Sam's.
I got more than $100 worth of damage to a sheetrock wall in my garage when
my son allowed battery acid from a boat battery he was storing to contact
that wall.
The hassle of removing, transporting, maintaining, restoring it a year from
now more than cover the hassle of shopping for and installing new ones, so
let the economics decide...
