I think the rear-end sag that is classic is in trailers from the late 60's
to the mid 70's. The Beatrice years. I have a 74 International with a minor
fold in the sides of the trailer just astern of the wheel opening. It shows
a little in the right light and I know it's there, but unless you are
certifiably particular, it doesn't effect the use, operation or general
looks of the trailer. In all the reading of messages on this topic in the
last 4-5 years, I have never heard of anyone who's rear end fell off or is
dragging so low as to be a problem when streamin' down the road. (I sort of
think of it as the Liberty Bell Syndrome. It may be cracked, but would you
want it any other way) It speaks to its age, construction and vintage and
frankly I kind of like the fact that my wrinkles say something about the
Airstream Company and it's many adventures in producing a mighty fine
trailer. Would I fix it? Naw.
