Re: [A/S] Urgent Question Re Window Replacement
Tom,
I'm quite sure that the inside rivets will not give you access to window
replacement. IIRC the frame has a channel into which the glass fits,
then the whole assembly is riveted to the body.
If you get the Olympic rivets you can:
a) Trim them carefully by hand with a dremel tool (I'd cover
everything around each rivet with duct tape in case of slippage, and
allow LOTS of time to do the job.)
b) Clip them as close as you can with a pair of diagonal cutters and
stop in up here in Sedan, NM next season and we can trim them then.
Same rivet gun as conventional pop rivets, by the way. (I will be buying
the shaving tool myself as I have 4 trailers to play with.)
We are about 6 hours from you and have courtesy parking.
For the rock guard I would be looking at a tinted lexan as well.
There is also a Vintage Airstream List which I highly recommend. Go to:

each in her respective folder.
