[A/S] Period military trailers of the Airstream type?
Hello all,
I'm an 'old army truck' person with a liking for period American equipment
and Airstreams have always attracted me.
I've e-mailed Fred Coldwell about Airstreams ( Fred and I both have an
interest in Dodges... ) and I'm half-looking for an old period trailer to
use here at home (did I forget to mention I'm in Scotland?)
I've been keeping a close eye out, and I think I may end up buying or
building a teardrop just to keep the cost down, but the closest I've come
so far to the 'right' thing is this WW2 Army Air Corps photographic lab
trailer by Oneida, which has since been sold on to a collector;

... unfortunately though it's only the size of a Clipper it needs a 6 x 6
truck to tow it because of the weight, it's a really heavy duty frame.
Anyway - if anyone has any old interesting military or oddball civilian
trailers of around the WW2 period please speak to me. I'd love to own a
'real' Airstream but the costs of hauling it here mean I probably never
will - but I can appreciate them.
