[A/S] Sandblasted AS Argosy ? how about airbrush?

A long time ago someone mentioned the color that Argo's were supposed to be  
painted, a shade of tan I think.  I know will find it in the repair manual  I 
will try to get next month: But...has anyone ever just made a little hobby of  
airbrushing small portions of a little ol Argosy to just ease a new coat of  
paint on little by littlem sanding as one goes with a circular sander?   Which 
is worse chips or a bad paintjob?  Isabelle 
I am still waiting to try the air conditioning in the window.  So far  it is 
cool in Tropic Breeze.
