I just discovered they are still available. The one I have is a Weiser 
PowerBolt 1000, which is described at:

I see this address wraps to two lines, so be careful when entering it.

They have a dealer locater ("where to buy") on this page, and I have 
located 3 hardware stores in my area that are supposed to have them. Maybe 
my kids will get one for Christmas after all!
