Just say NO to keys.

The convenience feature I like most about my '91 AS is the fact that it 
does NOT require a key for normal use. No more hunting in the pocket, no 
more scratching the metal near the keyhole, etc.

Mine came with the same keyless entry setup that you often see on top-line 
Ford products - an electronic combination lock.

I have a little weatherproof numerical electronic keypad near the deadbolt. 
First number I push lights it up from inside so I can see all numerals OK. 
A 5-digit combo unlocks it, a separate 2 digit combo locks it.

Airstream put these on some trailers and also some motorhomes in the '90's. 
I don't know exactly which models, other than my '91 60th anniversary LSE 
trailer. Don't know if they are promoted as options on current products.

Airstream likes to please the customer, and if someone wanted this system 
installed on a custom-ordered trailer or MH today , he would probably get 
it if they can still buy it from Ford.

I have a similar dead bolt system on the house front door also. Only time I 
use keys these days is to enter the house from rear door, or to actually 
crank up the car. The house dead bolt system was only available for a short 
time - apparently the manufacturer couldn't sell enough to make a go of it. 
When I tried to buy several as Christmas gifts for my kids several months 
after installing mine I couldn't find any.
