Hi there everyone! Just wanted to share my two cents. About a year ago I 
noticed that there was water coming in the vents and could be seen inside though 
the skylight. I called Bill, Bill is a mobile RV repair guy. He looked on top 
and found that all three vents had holes in them. What he ended up doing to 
take care of it he made a templet from the center of the vent and cut aluminum 
pieces and sealed and riveted to the vent cover. Bill did a great job and now I 
should never have to mess with them again. When buying my Airstream I didn't 
think about looking at the top, I probably would have gotten a drop in price. 
Needless to say I LOVE MY TRAILER. Oh I also have another thing to share with 
you. Just a few months ago I had to replace my refrigerator (dometic) and of 
course they don't make the same size so the new fridge was about two inches 
shorter which was filled in with a piece of oak and it looks great. What shocked 
me was the original fridge was never insulated and there was quite a bit of 
space around it. For an Airstream that was really surprising.
