Bobby, I have three on my Airstream.  They were installed in the winter of 
2000/2001 and have spent four winters in Florida and the past two summers 
sitting outside in the southern Indiana sun.  No crack are evident at this time.

I really like them.  We can leave the vents open while the trailer is in 
storage.  Before we installed the covers, we would close the vents when we left 
the trailer even for a few hours because of concern about an unexpected rain.
