I am assuming that you mean the original furnace has been removed?  
Replacement is certainly practical and doable.  I've not heard of one 
shipped without a furnace from the factory, but older ones (pre 60s) 
were pretty much custom built, apparently, so I guess anything is 
possible.  If the trailer is small enough there should be no problem 
installing a furnace, if it is a larger, multi-room unit, there will be 
ducting to install, PITA but doable.  I'd contact the nearest A/S dealer 
for an estimate, and deduct that figure from the reasonable value.  To

and check out the classified section for the era you are looking at and 
adjust fire from there.

What year, size, model are you looking at?
