Re: [A/S] Replacing plastic "skylight" on aluminum vent lid

Christopher
I have replaced a few of the vent panels using lexan and Plexiglas.
The first time we were on a trip and the forward one cracked and leaked, so I went
to a hardware store and got a piece of plexiglas and just sealed it down. Worked
good and lasted a few years till another one cracked. This time we were on our way
home so I installed a lexan one. Also the plexiglas one had started to yellow and
craze so I changed it out too. The first time I just sealed it with silicone
adhesive caulk, but when I replaced it again I put in a few SO rivets these aren't
AD rivets 1100 aluminum. Real soft and want crack the plastic. Send an address and
I can mail you 10-20 of them.
