[A/S] Digest Number 2138 Re: new trucks
Will,
We've towed with two Chevy truck combos. The first was an '88 Silverado
2500 extended cab long bed and 28' Argosy. The '88 was the first year
redesign, and included the 5.7 and a new 4 speed automatic transmission
with overdrive. We had three transmissions replaced under warrantee,
finally added giant transmission fluid cooler, then sold the combo
before transmissions became our responsibility.
The second combo is an '03 Avalanche 2500 and 32' Airstream (the prior
discussion of length, actual vs. catalog vs. title was fascinating). We
now have 14000 miles on the Avalanche, 10000 towing, in overdrive, with
nothing but praise to report. Watch this Blog for updates, but for
today we love our truck.
