RE: [A/S] New Disc Brakes/Hensley

I have been considering switching to the Kodiak disc brakes but using
the MasterBrake ElecDraulic actuator with the BrakeSmart controller. The
brakes themselves bolt right onto the existing spindle. What got me to
investigating disc converstion was that I noticed that under heavy
braking, I could tell that the trailer brakes starting to fade before
the truck disc brakes causing a shift in inertia that I can feel. The
cost of the switchout in mainly in the electric to hydraulic actuator,
but the total for parts is about $1500 for a single axle (we have a 2002
Bambi). I had not looked into the ActiBrake actuator, but I will do so
before making a final decision.
