[A/S] Re: The International (and my party)
Hi Gang,
Well, the weather has been gorgeous, just sunny and breezy which has dried
the place up quite a bit.
Actually, the breezy part is getting on my nerves, it's like being in Aruba
where the wind never stops... but at least the skeeters get blown away until it
settles down after the sun goes down.
The vintage parade was yesterday, they got a false start from the shopping
center, where they had gathered, into the airport after six of them crossed over
a railroad crossing and the safety arm went down. That left over 30 units
back on the other side of the tracks. Seems there's some kind of strange law in
Michigan where trains can just block the street as long as they want.... it
was almost two hours before the train moved and the parade could continue.
They did look wonderful single filing in, flags waving, aluminum bodies
gleaming in the sun.
I went over to the Lansing Center this aftenoon to put up a sign about my
party..... that's the first time I actually saw the vendors set up. I have to
say it was as disappointing as last year at the Vermont Rally. I'm not sure why
they don't attract more vendors.... I did see Hensley, Pullrite and Reese
hitches. Blue Ox. The monogram people who stitch hats and shirts..... they
always come. Then alot of people selling jewelry and clothing which I find odd,
but it mut be worthwhile for them or they wouldn't set up.
My party will be on Tuesday afternoon..... this coming Tuesday! day after
tomorrow. 4:30pm at my trailer. It's easy to find from the "bullpen" road......
just after the steel guardrails look up to the right along the treeline.....
you'll see a Bambi, then my trailer (#2268) My red F-250 will be behind the
trailer and there's a flock of flamingos and the list logo flag flying... I'm
providing chicken and wine..... I'm asking everyone to bring a side dish and a
chair please.....
Look forward to seeing alot of you who made it to Lansing.
