Re: [A/S] Repair sewage valve pull

Hi. I crawled under the AS when I was at the beach and inspected
the valve pulls for the Soveriegn. The one for the grey water tank
is in-tact and very stiff to pull. I tried lubricating it with
three in one and will try again when I am back out to the beach at
the end of the month. The pull for the Sewage valve has broken off
where the outside sleeve is rivited to the inside solid steel rod.
When I looked at the intact pull on the grey water tank I could see
that there is a pop rivit that runs through the end of the sleeve
and the metal pull. The steel rod then goes to the valve inside
the tank.

Has anyone successfully repaired this? I am thinking about crawling
under with a drill and drillling out the existing pop rivet and then
running a narrow piece of wire through it or maybe a loop of metal
that is harder than wire.

Anyhow, any ideas?
