[A/S] Re: Hauling bicycles...and Michelins (Radials..)
We have an older popup and what we use is simple receiver mount bike
rack with a peice of properly sized square tubing attached under the
frame and bumper of the rear of the trailer... it works well.. as long
as we use a Hensley type load leveler...I won't ever pull another
trailer without one !!!!
...and on radial tires...last I knew Pirelli was the only manufacturer
with double ply sidewalls..I could be wrong on that but that was my
understanding.. I would have to agree that Michelins in my experience
have been thin skinned to say the least on a sidewall..which should
not be a problem if you aren't overloaded and/or underinflated..you
MUST follow the weight limits on your tires not just on your vehicle!!
Many forget this..like the guy with the Polara???... 5 blowouts in one
trip sounds like more than just a quality problem to me!!
....fwiw....
