You might want to consider a front-mount hitch receiver on your truck along 
with a conventional receiver-mount bike carrier (Reese makes one).

When our kids were still riding bikes we had a '68 AS that had a steel 
bumper. Using half inch rebar steel, I made a receiver for the tires and 
welded it to that steel bumper. Installed a spacer gadget higher to clamp 
the bike frames steady. Worked well.

If yours uses steel bumpers, you could custom-fit a carrier this way and 
get exactly what you want.
