Re: [A/S] Central vacuum question

I had a central vac on a '83 310 MH. The unit was installed in the bathroom
cabinet under the sink. The inlet was in the hallway. There was a 120v plug
on the end of the unit's cord and it plugged into an outlet on the outer
wall in the bowels of the cabinet. The wire was cut when I got the MH
because the switch in the unit was stuck on. It is designed to come on when
you plug the hose in it. I took it out when I remodeled, and still have the
remains I think.
I doubt that they are that worthwhile. You still have to store and move
around the hose, filter and fitings. Takes up as much room as a small vac
anyway. Also the exaust from the power unit just blows out under the
cabinet, so anything that gets past the filter is collected under there.
