The tow rating will be the difference between the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight
Rating) and the GCWR (Gross Combined Weight Rating).  It is almost entirely
dependent on the rating of the receiver mounted on the motorhome.  Airstream
used the Chevy P-30 chassis, and if the receiver is mounted directly to the
chassis frame you probably have a minimum of 4000 lbs.  If Airstream added
an extension to the chassis frame, that would be a reason for de-rating the
capacity of the receiver.  There should be a label somewhere in the M/H
listing the GVWR and the GCWR.  If not, Airstream can probably give you an
answer.
