[A/S] Jackson Center Fire

Hi All,

I've seen several messages about the fire already, but I just
wanted to add my 3 cents worth. My wife and I went to the factory
on the Monday following the fire and were greeted by a lot of
ugly sights. First, there were several silver bullets and some
motor homes. They may have said that they got smoke damage
only, but on some of the units the plastic and fiberglass parts
on top of the units melted and ran down the sides. I think the
heat inside these units probably did a considerable amount
of damage. Some of the units were in for service and some
looked to be new???

I want to pick up some parts, but the parts storage was also
part of the fire and I was told by the ladies up front that they
have no idea how much in inventory was destroyed and they
would not be filling parts orders any time soon. The building
that housed the service bays, the parts inventory and the front
lobby was the building that burned. The newspaper said the
structure was totaled. We did find a few parts in the lobby
that we needed then drove around the service bays to see
the damage. If anyone had a unit in the service bays, I sure
would have them pull the ceiling panels and check out all of
the wiring for damage and spend some time running the A/C
and other main systems. Wires melted now may not fail until
after some road bumps, and the failures can be bad.
