The power supply will have to be recharged at home, doing it off a truck 
is not efficient. It might do you for a weekend.

The best way to go is a battery or two like that with a solar system to 
charge it. It will not be cheap, but it will be quiet and save you 
lugging batteries and gas around and/or making a dreadful racket with 
that generator.

The biggest question would be your battery (ies) if you have big ones 
with lots of amp hours then you can charge them up and then just run off 
them for the weekend.

Lots of us like the Honda generators, which have a sound proofing jacket 
and are remarkabley quiet. They are more expensive.

First you need to do your homework and figure out how much juice you 
would use in a day, so you can figure the amp hours you will need. The 
Soalr site has a worksheet for that. If you chose your equipment wisely 
you can get by on less than you might think, especially if you can 
conserve. I have replaced all my lights with LED's and will soon have a 
hand water pump and maybe even a gravity tank for long stays off the 
grid. These trailers, especially the older ones are terrific for 
boondocking.
