David,
In order to get a shock off your trailer you will need to have 3
failures
all at the same time.
First: failure would be that something you are using in your trailer
would
have to cross or short to the frame.
Second: The cable between your trailer and generator would have to
have an open in the green wire.
Third: Your generator would have to have a
failure of the generator wiring to the case and then to the earth or
that
ground stake you drove in.
Looks like you may be safer to leave the ground lug unused.
That lug is for hard wiring or mounting in your moterhome.
Many of us like to nit pick and worry over things we don't need
to worry about .. In doing that we get others to worry also.
We need to spend more time camping and less time worrying ....
