I had a 1974 Overlander with the original Owner's
manual.  While my trailer did not have a microwave, the
owner's manual had a section on how to use the optional
microwave.  I was always amazed that it came as an
option.  I don't know when microwaves came on the
market but it couldn't have been much before 1974 -- at
least not widespread.
