RE: [A/S] WBBCI - a Caravanning Club!
Hi List,
I happen to be one of the WBCCI members that is taking full advantage of the
best deal in travel in the country. We spent 58 days on the Alaskan Caravan
in 2001 for $2200. That included all camping fees, about 15% of the meals,
plane rides, train rides, boat rides, dinner plays, bus rides, and entry
fees to numerous special places, and ice cream until it was coming out of my
ears, and excellent information and guidance for the rest of the time. All
the planned activities accounted for less than 25% of the time, and you had
the rest of the time to do as you pleased. We ended up with friends we will
have for the rest of our lives, and now see familiar faces at every
Airstream gathering we attend as a result of that trip alone. I could give
you just as good of an account of our summer caravan in 2003 where we did
the complete North East (US and Canada) with all the trimmings for less
than $35 per day.
Folks, the "Caravan Club" portion of the WB-CC-I is working GREAT in my
opinion.
Most of the people that don't think so have never been on a caravan, and go
out of their way to make sure anyone they talk to has a dim view of
caravanning.
