Hi Tom,
The bike rack holds two bikes. It is actually two (you could put as many on
the truck as you want)  individual identical racks. I only put one bike on
the back of the truck in order to take the pictures for the list. One of the
pictures showed the hinged post that folds down for storage and up and locks
in place, with a pin like the pins on your awning on your Airstream, when
you want to carry the bike. The second rack bar is up at about a 45 degree
angle in one of the pictures, and is the second bike to go on the rack and
is the closest to the tailgate.
