[A/S] Pet proofing an Airstream
Of course, we have slime with a newfy around. We've made a few
changes to the Airstream to better accomodate a dog that drools, sheds
alot and brings in all kinds of wildlife in his coat. Some of those same
things have been helpful for making travel life easier with our parrot too.
Life is easier after we:
--covered the front sofa with naugahyde; much easier to clean up drool and
bird pies
--replaced the burnt orange carpet with cork flooring throughout the whole
trailer. Daily sweeping and keeping water bowls on towels minimizes some
of the mess.
--added 2 Fantastic fans. In the summer in MN, we feel comfortable leaving
the dog in the trailer in the shade on just about any day. I'm sure the
new drapes with blackout liners also help to keep it cool in there.
--purchased a ramp for Kuma to walk up into the Suburban. At 170 lbs,
there really was no choice.
We'd love to see your little(?) girl sometime. I bet she's pretty good at
backing up too! We would appreciate any ideas you have for improving
travels
with these gentle giants.
