I use a Dell Inspiron 8200.

I have two of them, identical ones, because I want a back up when the other 
one goes off to the computer doctor.... I was without it for 10 days once and 
it almost did me in.

For me, the most important thing an RV laptop needs is a docking station 
(port replicator).

I plug in all my other toys, printer, scanner, mouse, keyboard etc..... then 
if I need to go into a campground office to get online I just pop the laptop 
out and go.... no need to unhook anything.

Most of the time I get online with my cellphone (Verizon-high speed) but I do 
go places where I can't because I'm roaming or in their extended network.
