[A/S] Re: tires again.

Inland Andy brought up a point on tires I had not considered but is
especially of concern to me with my mid seventies Ambassador (29').

The point is that upping the load rating is not necessarily the best
idea. D range tires ride harsher than C range and that means that the
frame is subject to more stress. That increases the odds of frame
problems on the mid seventies longer trailers.

So get tires for a load range appropriate to your trailer and avoid
the "mo' betta'" syndrome. Don't get D load range tires unless you
really need them to handle the weight.

It is also good to have your wheels dynamically balanced when you get
new tires. Not many shops can do this (balance tires and wheels all
mounted and on trailer) but it is the best way to make sure your
trailer gets a smooth ride. And that helps all kinds of wear and tear
things.
