 This subject was brought up once before about using tires rated at 
more then required to do the job. This makes sense. the more that 
trailer bounces around back there the more stress is put on 
everything. I was going to do the same thing. I was going to put E's 
on my trailer, but was advised against it.  I have D's on it now, 
and they have worked out just fine so that is what I am sticking 
with. Years ago I switched to radials and have run them since. That 
was the best move that I ever made. Keeping your tires air right is 
very important and should be checked everytime you take the trailer 
out. Heat is the biggest cause of blowouts, plus it will help your 
gas mileage. This is a must for your tow vehicle as well.  I have 
left things sitting on the counter or a table and it still be there 
when I get to my destination.  Again, when I am in doubt about what 
I call Airstream's customer service and see what they think. I do 
believe and agree with previous post, that more is not always the
